Kailash Kitchen 凱拉薩印度料理
About This Spot
Stepping into Kailash Kitchen 凱拉薩印度料理 feels like discovering a quietly comforting corner tucked away in Taipei’s bustling Nangang District. The air carries gentle hints of spices warming slowly on the stove, inviting you to slow down and savor a different kind of day-to-day rhythm. This is a place where the pace settles into something unhurried — as if the care poured into every dish stretches out across the room, asking you to be present with your meal and the company around you.
Modest yet welcoming, Kailash Kitchen embraces those who seek not just a meal, but a sense of place through food. Its atmosphere strikes a harmonious balance between familiar warmth and a quiet pride in its roots, where the vibrant traditions of Indian cuisine unfold softly but surely. The focus is on wholesome vegetarian curries, fresh breads, and thoughtfully crafted flavors that feel both nourishing and unfolding — much like the moments shared across a table with family or friends.
From the fragrant steam rising off a freshly made masala dosa to the gentle sweetness balanced in a cup of spiced Indian milk tea, each bite offers a grounded sense of authenticity. Here, the food offers small gateways into everyday Indian life, where ingredients and spices don’t just fill stomachs, but spark stories, smiles, and easy conversation. The menu nods to both North and South Indian traditions, allowing the sense of discovery to deepen with every visit as each day brings slight variations in offerings.
Regulars in the know appreciate Kailash Kitchen for its sincere approach to vegetarian cooking — where familiar dishes are given renewed depth without unnecessary fanfare. The quiet joy here doesn’t come from showmanship but from honest, handmade flavors that remind visitors why food can be so much more than sustenance. It’s a spot that invites you to take a moment, breathe in those fragrant spices, and feel welcomed by something comfortably resonant yet subtly different from the norm.

This is a Vegetarian (meat free)Indian restaurant. Expect the Indian curry cuisine, I ordered one Masala Dosa ; the young owner said it's southern authentic traditional stuff, that's so great! I have never eaten in Taiwan or Japan. This is the restaurant I will often come to eat! Yammy~

Awesome vegetarian Indian food. This place blows the doors off any high priced vegetarian food in Taiwan. I highly recommend going here to eat.
